Police in Saxony are investigating a man who got about 90 anti-covid vaccines, The Guardian reports. According to investigators, this is a 60-year-old resident of Magdeburg, whose name was not disclosed in accordance with German privacy law. For several months, he actively visited vaccination centers in Saxony, having received a total of approximately 90 covid shots. He sold the certificates he received to those who did not want to be vaccinated. In the end, he was detained at the vaccination center in the city of Eulenburg, where he came two days in a row. The police confiscated several blank vaccination forms from him: having made another vaccine, the man received a real batch code of the vaccine batch, which he could paste into the form.
The suspect is at large, but a criminal case has been opened against him for forging documents. It is not yet clear what effect vaccination with numerous drugs from different manufacturers had on his health.
In recent months, the German police have carried out numerous raids in connection with the forgery of vaccine passports. On Friday, the country lifted many restrictions: masks are still required on public transport, but are no longer mandatory in grocery stores and most theaters. However, before that, fake certificates were in demand among those who did not want to be vaccinated, but at the same time sought to gain access to restaurants, theaters, swimming pools or their workplaces.
