This was stated by the head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky after the third round of negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation. The meeting took place the day before, March 7.

“The discussion is not easy, it’s too early to talk about something positive. I can only say that we arrived with a large number of documents, took contracts, proposals. We hoped that today it would be possible to sign some of the points on which we have already agreed in principle protocol, but the Ukrainian side took these documents for study", - he commented after the meeting.

According to him, the negotiations will continue.

"To be honest, our expectations from the talks did not come true, but we hope that next time we will be able to take a more significant step forward", - the head of the Russian delegation noted. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

It's worth reminding that the first round of negotiations took place on February 28. Then the parties outlined key positions, found common ground and left for consultations. At the second meeting on March 3, the delegates agreed to establish humanitarian corridors.
