The Russian military seized secret documents of the Ukrainian command on the preparation of the operation of the "joint forces" offensive in Donbass, scheduled for March this year.

According to RIA Novosti, citing data from the Russian Defense Ministry, a secret order to prepare a military operation in the Donbass was signed on January 22 by the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel General Nikolay Balan.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, secret documents of the Ukrainian army came into the possession of the department during the Russian military special operation in Ukraine.

“Order “On organizing the training of a battalion tactical group of the 4th operational brigade to perform combat (special) tasks in the joint forces operation as part of a brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine”. The document is addressed to the heads of the northern Kiev, southern Odessa and western territorial departments of the National Guard of Ukraine”, - TASS quotes the words of the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov.

According to Konashenkov, the secret order contains the original signatures of the officials of the command of the National Guard of Ukraine responsible for carrying out the tasks.

“I would like to emphasize that since 2016 this formation of the Ukrainian airborne assault forces has been trained by American and British instructors under the NATO standard training programs in Lviv”, - Konashenkov said.

For the successful completion of combat missions in the Donbass, the National Guardsmen were ordered to provide "visual agitation, information and propaganda materials, flags, and printing products". It was supposed to send on a mission only those National Guardsmen who, according to the results of psychological testing, would show satisfactory results according to the criterion of “risk readiness”.

According to the captured documents, the Ukrainian military had to complete preparations for the special operation by February 28.
