The Internet has resumed its work on the territory of Kazakhstan's Alma-Ata. The network hasn't been working since yesterday.

As TASS clarifies, access to the wired Internet appeared at 7 a.m. local time (about 4 a.m. Moscow time).

Earlier it became known that the Internet in Kazakhstan was turned off due to the outbreak of riots. There was no connection in Alma-Ata on January 5. Although the Internet was briefly resumed on January 10, it was immediately disconnected again.

Note that Russian mobile subscribers roaming in Kazakhstan from 5 to 19 January will be able to call and send SMS free of charge. The Ministry of Digital Industry has agreed on this with the operators MTS, Beeline, MegaFon and Tele2.
