The founder of SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk commented on an article written by Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Roscosmos State Corporation, about the launch of the American spacecraft Crew Dragon to the ISS.

In his June 8 Forbes column, Rogozin published an article, “This is their war, not ours”. In the text Rogozin spoke about the importance of the first in nine years American manned flight for the Russian space industry.

- This is something!, - Musk wrote in a comment in an article cited by the journalist Eric Berger on his Twitter account.

Musk noted that we must pay tribute to the successful Soviet oxygen-hydrogen engines (developed in the 80s), since they encouraged him to create the Raptor oxygen-methane engine, which has a bigger boost.

It is hardly possible for the modern Russian space industry to keep up with the space achievements of the Soviet era. While Musk launches rockets, the head of Roscosmos State Corporation is trying to grab hold of the Soviet past. In fact, about the longing for this time, he wrote to his classmate at the moment when the Crew Dragon took off the ground. Deciding to move from nostalgia to action, Rogozin announced the restoration of the “Gagarin launch”. True, so far these are only plans. But the Roscosmos enterprise - the Ust-Katavsky Car-Building Plant - voiced its elevators with the legendary phrase of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
