"Learn or Get Away!" Russians are forced to apologize for not knowing the Kazakh language

Kazakh nationalists are conducting raids on shops and government services in the country in order to force Russian citizens of this country to speak Kazakh.

The online edition Readovka reports that "language patrols" in the neighboring country in every possible way bully their Russian fellow citizens, including forcing them to apologize on camera for not knowing the Kazakh language. However, the newspaper complains, the State Duma deputies do not care at all, but even the slightest violation of the rights of their compatriots in the Baltic countries or in Ukraine, the deputies notice even in their dreams.

Journalists cite an example of how in the Kazakh city of Aktau, which was founded by the Russians, local residents forced an elderly woman to ask for forgiveness, reminding them of this historical fact, and then posted the video on the network.

This is not the first time: videos about raids by Kazakh nationalists on shops and government services have been posted on the YouTube channel Til Maydani Online Party for almost six months. They record checks whether the labels on the goods have been translated into the Kazakh language, and whether the sellers and civil servants respond in Kazakh. This happens not only in Aktau, but in all major cities of the country. Moreover, the Russian citizens of Kazakhstan are called there deliberately illiterate and offensively - "state workers" and they are offered to either learn the Kazakh language (and the country has two official state languages - Russian and Kazakh), or go to Russia.

However, such an attitude towards Russians is characteristic not only of the citizens of Kazakhstan. For example, in Kyrgyzstan, the parents of a boy who was beaten for being Russian were forced to withdraw a statement from the police.
