The song prevents them from "building and living": censorship of karaoke is introduced in China

Censorship will be imposed on karaoke bars throughout China on October 1, Reuters reported. The local Ministry of Culture and Tourism intends to encourage establishments to perform "healthy" songs and prohibit those that threaten territorial integrity or political course.

From now on, karaoke bar content providers will have to be held accountable for the content of the songs they distribute. There are about 50,000 such institutions in China with a music library of over 100,000 songs. All of them will receive a blacklist of tracks with "illegal content" - these will include compositions that threaten national unity, sovereignty or territorial integrity, violate state religious policies through the propaganda of cults or superstitions, or encourage illegal activities such as gambling and drugs... Instead, karaoke bars are encouraged to play "healthy and invigorating" music.

Censorship in China is becoming increasingly harsh. Content on social networks and websites is strictly regulated, and everything that falls under the categories of “violence”, “pornography” or contrary to government policy is removed. In recent months, video platforms, the content of which is recognized as "low-standard", have also been punished.
