After mass protests in Yerevan related to the cessation of hostilities in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, six people were detained, who are suspected of calling for riots, seizing power, overthrowing the constitutional order, as well as pressure on parliament and beating the speaker of the National Assembly.

"The two most active participants in the "operation" to attack the Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan are among the detained. All criminals will be punished with all the severity of the law”, - Eduard Aghajanyan, the head of the RA Prime Minister’s Administration, wrote on his Facebook.

Let us recall that a wave of discontent among Armenians was caused by the signing of a trilateral agreement on the end of hostilities in Karabakh between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. A protest action began at the building of the Armenian government in Yerevan. The demonstrators broke into the building, smashed the prime minister's office and took away the state symbols, robbed his house, then staged a rout in the parliamentary meeting hall, and the speaker of the parliament Ararat Mirzoyan was beaten so badly that the victim had to be hospitalized.
