Iran executes one more rioter

According to ISNA, the incident happened in Mashhad, where a local resident of Majidreza Rahnavard mortally wounded law enforcers Hossein Zeynalzade and Daniyal Rezazade with a knife. Then, according to the investigation, he wounded four more people and fled. Rahnavard was detained when he tried to leave the country.

For the first time in Iran, a rioter was publicly executed on December 8. The 23-year-old Mohsen Shekari was executed, he was found guilty of "waging war against God." Investigators believe he stabbed a security agent and blocked a street in Tehran.

Protests in the country began in September. During the rallies, 318 protesters were killed, including 49 children, as well as 38 members of the security forces. In early November, Iranian courts convicted about a thousand residents of the country who participated in the riots.
