During the protests that began after the murder of African American Dante Wright by a police officer in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, 40 people were detained. The rallies led to looting - a local supermarket was looted.

This was reported by RIA Novosti. The state police said that the employee shot Wright by accident - mixed up a stun gun and a pistol. The death of the African American sparked a wave of protests. Demonstrators smashed windows in patrol cars, law enforcement officers used tear gas and rubber bullets.

A total of 40 people were detained.

Brooklyn Center and Minneapolis imposed curfews following the riots.

Now Brooklyn Center is patrolled by National Guard fighters armed with machine guns and special means to disperse the crowd. Glass shattered and counters overturned in a Dollar Tree store next to the City Police Department. The cell phone shop also suffered at the hands of the protesters.

Recall that last year in the United States, the murder of an African American police officer George Floyd during his arrest caused a wide resonance. A wave of protests swept across the country, which escalated into riots. After the incident, the United States reformed the police system , in particular, banned the use of a stranglehold on arrest.
