Japan expressed a protest to Russia in connection with airspace violation

The Japanese government announced that the day before, in the area of Cape Shiretoko on the island of Hokkaido, a Russian An-26 aircraft had invaded Japanese airspace.

JapanTokyo sent a protest through diplomatic channels to Moscow in connection with the incident. Japanese Cabinet Secretary General Katsunobu Kato demanded to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Through diplomatic channels the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a protest to the Russian side and required to prevent recurrence of such incidents - resulting TASS words of Cato.
The official indicated that the Japanese side is analyzing the incident and intends to find out all the details. The day before, Japanese fighters were sent into the air to intercept the Russian aircraft.
