The United States prepares to repel a drone attack during Biden's inauguration

The Defense Department does not rule out that radicals will use small drones to attack those attending the inauguration of Joe Biden, The New York Times reports, citing a senior Pentagon official who called the security situation "unprecedented" when "ultra-right extremists continue to plot on online platforms".

The publication cites the words of another official from the Ministry of Defense, who claims that law enforcement officers planned "any number of possible events, some of which were terrible". As examples, the interviewee cites snipers targeting ceremony participants, “suicide planes entering Washington's airspace”, and remote-controlled drones attacking the crowd. The most frightening thing for officials, according to the source of the publication, is the implementation of several scenarios at once.

According to the portal Avia.pro, there are several thousand military personnel in Washington, and additional air defense systems have been deployed in the vicinity of the capital.

It's worth reminding that recently it became known that the Capitol was attacked, including by the military of the unique military unit PSYOP - Division of information warfare aimed at foreign governments, organizations, groups and individuals.

Biden's inauguration is scheduled for January 20, but it is clear that the US Senate will not decide on the removal of President Donald Trump from office until that day.
