The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov (pictured) has submitted a letter of resignation, which will be considered by the Verkhovna Rada on July 15.

- According to the first part of Article 18 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine", he submitted his resignation from the post of Minister of Internal Affairs, - the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs spread the message.

According to UNN, the Verkhovna Rada will consider the resignation of the minister on July 15.

On July 13, the Servant of the People presidential faction intends to convene for a meeting to consider personnel issues, including Avakov's resignation. Participation in the meeting of the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is expected.

The local media are already wondering who will be able to take the post of Avakov, naming the names of the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov. According to RIA Novosti, Denis Monastyrsky, chairman of the Rada's committee on law enforcement, has become a candidate for the post of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Recall that Avakov was appointed to the post of head of the department in 2014. To date, he is the only minister who came after the change of power in the country in 2014 and remained in office.
