At least 20 people died in western Germany in flooding. Dozens more are reported missing.

The flooding was triggered by heavy rains that hit central and western Europe. Germany has suffered more than other countries. In the commune of Schuld in Rhineland-Palatinate, six houses collapsed. A critical flood situation has developed in the cities of Schleiden, Oberhausen and the commune of Gemünd, where dozens of houses are flooded, Bild reports.

In Rhineland-Palatinate, about 70 people are missing, Interior Minister Roger Leventz said.

A strong wind brought down power lines. About 200 thousand people were left without electricity.

One person drowned in the eastern part of Belgium, another is reported missing.

Residents of the Dutch Limburg were urged not to approach the rivers, as they can overflow the banks. The boat owners have been asked not to travel on them yet.

In the lakes of Switzerland, the water level has risen to dangerous levels. The traffic on dangerous sections of the roads was blocked. It has been raining in Switzerland since Monday.

We will remind, earlier heavy rains hit the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. For two days, a two-month precipitation rate fell. Nine people were killed, including children.
