The US prosecutor's office has filed charges of rape of 57 women and human trafficking against famous fashion designer Peter Nygaard.

According to the investigation, the 79-year-old billionaire, the owner of the Nygard Group clothing brand, practiced sexual crimes for 25 years - from 1995 to 2000. Among his victims were both adult women and 14-year-old girls.

“For about 20 years, Jeffrey Epstein was the advisor to the brand owner, who was also accused of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation”, - life.ru reports.

The investigation believes that, together with his accomplices, the billionaire lured women and underage girls to him, including from dysfunctional families. By inviting girls to parties with free food, drinks and a spa, the attackers raped their victims.

If they did not agree to have sexual intercourse with them, they were pumped up with alcohol and drugs, and then by blackmail they were forced to join the ranks of Nygård's "girlfriends" who were obliged to accompany the billionaire on trips, provide him with intimate services on demand and constantly look for the businessman for new sexual partners that he can exchange with his friends and companions.

The billionaire came under suspicion of the investigation in February this year. His home and his New York office were searched. After the scandal, Nygaard was forced to leave the leadership position in his company. On December 14, he was taken into custody in the city of Winnipeg. This happened after the United States asked the Canadian authorities to issue a temporary arrest warrant based on an extradition agreement.

It is noteworthy that along with dozens of women, his own sons filed a lawsuit against the Canadian billionaire, claiming that they were raped by an acquaintance of their father on his direct orders. The arrested Nygard rejects the charges brought against him.
