Joe Biden said that Vladimir Putin "will pay for meddling in the elections"

During an interview, ABC journalist George Stephanopoulos asked Biden if he considered Vladimir Putin a murderer.

“Yes”, - Biden replied after some deliberation.

Stephanopoulos also asked the president about the reaction to the US National Intelligence report, which suggested that Putin may have been leading attempts to discredit Biden.

“He'll pay”, - Biden said.

Moreover, Biden indicated that he threatened Putin with retribution if he "finds out" about his interference in the voting process.

"We had a long conversation, I know him quite well. At the beginning of the conversation, I told him: "I know you, and you know me. If I find out that this happened, be prepared", - said the head of the White House.

It's worth reminding that American intelligence accused Moscow of interfering in the US presidential elections, namely, in attempts to help Donald Trump and discredit Joe Biden. The report says about cyber attacks from the Russian side, which could affect the course of the vote. In turn, the Russian Embassy in the United States called the accusations unfounded.

At the same time, Biden agrees to work with Moscow on topics that are of mutual interest to both countries.
