Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Michurin dies in Belarus at the age of 105

The Ministry of Defense of the country expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

It's worth reminding that the title of Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Michurin was awarded for exemplary performance of combat missions in the battle on the Karelian Isthmus, for his courage and heroism. The title was awarded to him in February 1940, when he was only 24 years old.

In the same year, Vasily Michurin entered the Minsk Military-Political School. During the war years, he took part in the defense of the Belarusian cities of Minsk and Mogilev, fought for Konigsberg, reached Czechoslovakia and Berlin.
