WHO announced the record growth of coronavirus infected

This time, the most infected were detected in Brazil - over 55 thousand people. It is followed by the USA - 37 thousand, India - 15 thousand patients. 4.7 thousand patients died within 24 hours. In total, 462 thousand people died from the pandemic.

Russia is still in third place in the number of detected cases of COVID-19. In total, 584 680 cases of the disease were registered in the territory of the Russian Federation. As of June 21 new - 7 728. 339 711 patients recovered and were discharged from medical facilities. 8 111 people died from the disease.

Meanwhile, the representatives of Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology of RAS said the vaccine developed would help protect against coronavirus for a period of two years. According to the head of the center, Alexander Gintsburg, the long protective period is determined by a special approach - the vaccine will be administered three times, which will help “not just get protective, protective immunity, but get it for an extended period of time”.
