In the past, Michael Flynn was forced to resign after serving as presidential adviser for only 22 days: he was caught in a lie.

Michael Flynn, a retired general and ex-adviser to Donald Trump, has hypothesized that anti-vaccines are mixed into foods, Insider reports. Flynn expressed this idea in the conservative podcast The Thrivetime Show.

“Someone sent me a message this morning that the vaccine could be added to salad dressing. Did you see it? I think our world is very strange. Yes, very strange”, - Flynn said. "These people are seriously thinking about how to impose their will on us, and this needs to be stopped".

The fact-checking site Snopes found that the ex-advisor may have been referring to research currently under way to explore the potential for growing plants containing vaccine mRNA material that does not require deep freezing. The study is being conducted by the University of California at Riverside: in a press release it is reported that scientists are trying to get plants that are not inferior in immunizing properties to vaccinations. However, no information has been found that anti-vaccines will be added to salad dressings.

Flynn previously claimed that COVID-19 was fabricated to distract attention from the 2020 elections. Earlier, in 2017, he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations he had with the Russian ambassador, and resigned after serving as Trump's national security adviser 22 days later.
