Washington announces new sanctions against company and two ships linked to Nord Stream - 2

The Secretary of State did not indicate the name of the second vessel.

In total, in connection with Nord Stream 2, the United States imposed sanctions against eight legal entities and individuals, as well as 17 ships belonging to them.

Note that a number of Republican congressmen sent a letter to Blinken, which spoke of the "futility and danger" of the policy of building stable and predictable relations with Moscow. They proposed alternative measures, calling for the lifting of the pipeline sanctions exception.

As a reminder, on November 16 it became known that the German regulator suspended the certification of Nord Stream 2 AG as an independent operator of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline stretching from the Russian coast through the Baltic Sea to Germany.
