Today, the CEO of the manufacturing company Baykar Makina, Haluk Bayraktar, announced the conclusion of the first export contract for the supply of Bayraktar Akinci combat drones. Which country the UAVs will go to is not specified.

“The first export contract for the Bayraktar Akinci strike UAV has been concluded. Deliveries under the contract are scheduled for 2023”, - the Turkish edition of Anadolu Ajansi quotes the CEO of Baykar Makina.

TASS recalls the statement of Kiev, according to which engines for Bayraktar Akinci drones will be supplied by Ukraine.

According to Bayraktar, Bayraktar TB-2 drones are in high demand. He said that 16 countries are purchasing UAVs, noting that they have already flown 420,000 hours.

In November, the Turkish Foreign Minister said that he did not consider the sale of drones to Ukraine a problem in relations with Moscow, stressing that Turkish manufacturers cannot be blamed for the way another country uses their products.
