US President Donald Trump ordered the General Services Administration (GSA) to "do whatever it takes" under the "initial protocols" for the transfer of power to Joe Biden. Earlier, GSA recognized Biden as the winner and announced its readiness to begin the transfer of power.

The Pentagon also announced the same readiness.

"Our cause is making good progress, we will continue to fight hard, I am sure we will win! However, in the best interests of our country, I recommend that Emily (Murphy) and her team do whatever is necessary regarding the original protocols, and I told my team to do the same", - Donald Trump wrote on his Twitter.

He previously stated that Murphy was "harassed, threatened and abused", and stressed that he did not want "this to happen to her, her family or GSA staff".

Trump allowed the start of formal procedures, but refused to admit defeat in the election. The headquarters of his opponent Biden are confident that this issue has already been resolved.

We will remind that earlier in the US Department of Defense said that they are ready, in accordance with the agreement between the White House and the team of Joe Biden, who declared himself the winner of the presidential election, to begin the transfer of power.

Recall that Trump accused his rivals of trying to "steal power", and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani said that violations during the vote were systemic.

Nevertheless, the Pentagon announced its readiness to begin transferring power to Biden. The document states that “the Department of Defense Transition Task Force organizes and coordinates all DOD contacts with the Biden-Harris Group. The Department of Defense is committed to providing post-election services and support in a professional, orderly and efficient manner that meets the public's expectations of the Ministry and our commitment to national security”.

Earlier, the State Department and the Ministry of Health refused to cooperate with Biden.
