Zelensky again invited Putin to start negotiations

“I would like to once again address the President of the Russian Federation . Let's sit down at the negotiating table to stop the death of people”, - Zelensky said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

On February 24, the President of Russia announced the start of a military special operation to protect the Donbass, after which reports began to come from Ukraine about explosions and the appearance of Russian soldiers on the streets. The special operation of the Russian Federation was announced against the backdrop of appeals from the heads of the DPR and LPR with a request for help in repelling Ukrainian aggression in the region. The Russian Defense Ministry called on Ukrainian servicemen to hand over their weapons and return home, promising that those who surrendered would not be attacked. The defense department also repeatedly stressed that they did not strike at cities, excluding the threat to the civilian population.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko proposed holding talks between Moscow and Kiev in Minsk. Yesterday, French President Emmanuel Macron conveyed to Putin a proposal for negotiations from Zelensky, who was unable to contact the Kremlin.
