Earlier, the Minister of Health of the Republic Nguyen Thanh Long reported that Vietnam is negotiating with Russia on the supply of 60 million doses of the vaccine.

In addition, Hanoi is in talks with Pfizer to ship 30 million doses of the company's drug to the country next year.

The head of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health told the government that the country should receive about 30 million doses through the COVAX mechanism, and the department is making efforts to ensure that the medicine arrives in Vietnam by the end of 2021.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health expects another 30 million doses from AstraZeneca, counting on a direct agreement on their delivery.

Earlier, Vietnam was going to get the rights to manufacture Sputnik V.

It's worth reminding that a covid strain similar to the so-called “British” variant was identified in Vietnam.

Note that in February Egypt registered the Sputnik V vaccine developed in Russia.
