The work called Sophia Instantiation was created by two authors - the executive director of the blockchain investment company Eterna Capital Andrea Bonaseto and the humanoid robot Sophia. The video shows how Bonaseto's portrait of Sophia turns into a digital portrait of Sophia herself in 12 seconds, according to The New York Times. The lot sold on the Nifty Gateway site, which specializes in NFT art, also includes a piece that Sophia drew on a printout of her self-portrait. The buyer who paid a record $ 688,888 was a tweeted @ Crypto888crypto.

Sophia is a humanoid robot created in 2016 by the Hong Kong company Hanson Robotics. This is the first robot to receive citizenship: Sophia is a citizen of Saudi Arabia. Sophia also became famous for participating in the UN meeting on artificial intelligence, interviewing German Chancellor Angela Merkel and being an ambassador for brands such as Audi, Huawei and Etihad Airlines.
