This statement was made by the director of the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Robert Redfield.

"According to our accurate calculations, at the moment there are actually 10 other infected people for each recorded case"б - said the head of the CDC.

According to Redfield, blood tests collected throughout the country demonstrate that many U.S. residents may not have been aware of their coronavirus infection, as their disease was asymptomatic or with minimal symptoms. Redfield noted that even with the real situation, the number of infected people is about 8% of the country's population, which indicates a high degree of danger of a pandemic in the United States.
