The leaders of the EU countries will consider the issue of confiscation of Russian assets in EU jurisdiction during the summit, which will be held May 30-31 in Brussels.

"Leaders should consider the situation with the confiscation of Russian assets. From a legal point of view, in some EU countries it is almost impossible to do this, in others it is quite real", - TASS quotes the words of its source.

Recall that the European Union has frozen the assets of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for $24.5 billion. The amount of blocked Russian assets in the world is #300 billion.

Earlier it was reported that the European Commission intends to simplify the confiscation and seizure of property from citizens of Russia and Belarus. We are talking about assets in Europe, obtained illegally. DPA sources said the relevant bill would be submitted soon.
