Ahoy Arena already has 88 hospital beds. They will bring here those who feel well enough not to be hospitalized and taken for the intensive treatment, but require isolation and medical supervision. This will help relieve the hospital. The Netherlands is one of the few countries in Europe that has refused quarantine. By noon on Wednesday, about 27,580 infections and 2955 deaths were recorded here.

As for Eurovision, this is the first time the contest has been canceled in its 64-year history.

The fate of the Cannes Film Festival remains unclear, writes The Associated Press. After French President Emmanuel Macron extended the quarantine in the country until mid-July, the organizers were forced to abandon plans to postpone the festival to June or July. According to the organizers, they will explore other possibilities that will allow Gangnam to take place - in one form or another.

Some of the world's film festivals, such as Tribeca, plan to go this year at least in virtual format, launching some of the planned programs online. However, for Cannes, this is hardly possible: this is not only the most respected film festival, the largest film market in the world and an important social event, but also a symbol of fidelity to traditions.
