The 79th Venice Film Festival will open on August 31, 2022
On Wednesday, August 31, the oldest international film review, the 79-1 Venice Film Festival, will open on the Lido Island in Italy.

The first screening will be White Noise, directed by the United States, Noah Baumbach, based on the novel by Don Delilo. The film entered the main competition of the festival.

In addition, 22 films will be presented, including "Blonde" by Andrew Dominik about the life of actress Marilyn Monroe (a film adaptation of the novel "Blonde" by Joyce Carol Oates), as well as "Banshee Inisherina" directed by Martin McDonagh with Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson in the lead roles.

In addition to these films, Luca Guadagnino's Bones and Other, Emanuele Crialese's L'immensita, Todd Fieldom's Tar and Florian Zeller's Son, the final part of his trilogy about family relationships, will be screened at the festival.

The Orizzonti Extra program includes a film by Kazakh director Adilkhan Yerzhanov "Goliath".

It should be noted that at the beginning of August the jury of the 44th Moscow International Film Festival approved the main competition program. It includes nine films, including films from Romania, Peru, China and Serbia.
