Writer Sergey Komkov said he had submitted an application to nominate Russian President Vladimir Putin for the Nobel Peace Prize. At the same time, the Kremlin says that they are indifferent to whether the head of state will be awarded the most prestigious world award.

"Today, this is actually my fourth nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. It was sent on September 9 this year, and already on September 10 this application was received by the Nobel Peace Committee in Oslo at the headquarters of the Nobel Committee", - RIA News.

It is not known why this time Sergey Komkov proposes to reward the Russian leader. Previously, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize for achievements in the elimination of chemical weapons in Syria. However, according to the writer, this time he submitted his application earlier than those who offered to award the Nobel Peace Prize to US President Donald Trump for mediating Israel's reconciliation with the UAE and Bahrain.

Also, for this reconciliation, it was proposed to award the long-term Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu. In addition, among the contenders for the Nobel Peace Prize this year are the main opposition presidential candidate in Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya and her husband, who is now under arrest. Another contender is Russian opposition politician Alexey Navalny, who has recently been in a coma for about three weeks. According to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, he was poisoned with a chemical warfare agent.

“If the decision is made, great. If it is not made, it’s also okay”, - the Interfax news agency quotes the answer about Vladimir Putin's nomination for the award.
