In the new agreed recommendations prepared by the Federal Air Transport Agency, there are no requirements for filling planes in half, Kommersant reports.
Earlier, the Association of Air Transport Operators (AATO) asked the government to cancel recommendations on the 50% occupancy rate, otherwise airlines will have to raise ticket prices. Now the requirements are canceled, but airlines will not have to wait for profits in the near future. According to the representative of one of the carriers, in the best case, it will be possible to start making profit again after a period of restrictive measures next year.
The recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor (The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing), published on April 18 and containing a clause on distance, were criticized by the head of the Ministry of Transport, Eugene Dietrich. First of all, because such conditions will become the reason for the mandatory rise in price of already expensive tickets.
“A ticket will cost somewhere around 70 thousand rubles, even the smallest”, - the minister pointed out, explaining that with the enormous costs of airlines, the board should be loaded at 75% for the profitability of transportation.
Note that other recommendations of Rospotrenadzor and the Federal Air Transport Agency are still valid. Namely, long-haul passengers will have to change their medical masks every three hours of the flight, as well as take off their outer clothing when boarding. It will not be possible to unfasten belts until the end of the flight.
