Buryatia and the Irkutsk region experienced the tremors of the Mongolian earthquake

After the earthquake in Mongolia on January 12, a series of aftershocks were recorded in the epicenter with magnetic ore from 3.9 to 5.1 in the Tunkinsky region of Buryatia. Residents of the Irkutsk region complained about cracks in their houses after the seismic event.

The earthquake struck at 5:50 am in Mongolia. Aftershocks were recorded in Buryatia from 6:02 to 8:36 hours. It is reported that there is no destruction in the region. Rescuers inspect socially significant objects.

At the same time, the governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev instructed the heads of municipalities to check the condition of houses and social facilities, since many comments were left on social networks about the cracks in houses caused by the earthquake.

"I see in the comments and on social networks a lot of messages about cracks in residential buildings after the earthquake. I instructed the heads of municipalities to start examination and inspection of the houses and social facilities right now", - Kobzev wrote on his Instagram.

At the same time, in the Irkutsk region, as well as in Buryatia, the communal infrastructure and strategic facilities are operating normally.
