Already after the disappearance of the clinical symptoms of coronavirus, patients complain of the appearance of chills, which is considered the beginning of a re-illness.

Zuhra Pavlova, an endocrinologist, senior researcher at the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine of Moscow State University, said that chills after recovering from coronavirus are not a sign of a recurrence of the disease - it is caused by disorders in the central nervous system, from which thermoregulation suffers.

The specialist told about this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.

The doctor pointed out that often already recovered patients, whom they begin to chill, begin to take medicine again. But to date, there is no special therapy to get rid of the consequences of the disease.

- There are no official standard clinical recommendations for eliminating this condition today. From a physiological point of view, people feel chills when a spasm of blood vessels occurs and blood circulation is partially disturbed. Accordingly, to warm yourself without harm to health, you can drink warm tea, and even better - warm water with seasonal berries, Pavlova advised, adding that in no case should you drink alcohol, since the body already suffers from intoxication.

Recall that earlier, scientists identified a blood group whose carrier turned out to be the most protected from a new coronavirus infection. According to American experts, people with the first blood group are the least susceptible to the disease COVID-19.

To date, more than 7.2 million cases of coronavirus have been reported in the world. Over 420 thousand people died. In Russia, more than 520 thousand cases of COVID-19 were recorded. 6 948 patients died from the disease.
