Chelyabinsk metallurgists are so harsh, or rather, they were so fed up with the state of affairs, that they recorded a desperate and witty video message to the Minister of Labor of the Russian Federation, Anton Kotyakov, asking him to live a month on the minimum wage of 12,700 rubles. The letter of metallurgists is so relevant, so "not in the eyebrow, but in the eye" that it will surely be scattered on the net into quotes. "Novye Izvestia" publishes the text of the video message from Chelyabinsk residents. The video itself can be seen on the "Novosti goroda" YouTube channel.
“Our dear Minister of Labor and Social Relations,
A pipe bender, a rolling operator, a forklift driver and a job foremaster write you...
We know that your every day begins with long and torturing thoughts about the life of the common people. Thank you for that! For your righteous labors, for the work of the sovereign.
Thank you for the fact that we began to live with your sensitive management... well, in general, we are still alive.
And I would like to say a special thank you for your cool laws and decrees.
Whatever the law is another masterpiece!
For example, we appreciated your idea of not including university studies in your work experience.
An incredibly good law on supplementary education for males on maternity leave.
We have not forgotten how your ministry promoted the four-day working week. Of course: a topical question!
It's great, Anton Olegovich, that now our old people can receive their tiny pensions on any day convenient for them. Serious achievement!
And, of course, the law developed by the Ministry of Labor on the literacy of officials is important. And most importantly - on time!
And yet, Anton Olegovich, we read that you have approved a list of fifty most in-demand professions. Without this list, we would definitely not have made it to spring.
And we especially liked the law on the new procedure for calculating the minimum wage.
And finally, it is no longer tied either to a grocery basket or to utility tariffs.
And its size - 12,700 - is a leap. A qualitative leap! Towards the porch.
It is a pity, of course, that your ministry sends only hard workers and pensioners to the porch, and not you, our dear Anton Olegovich.
- Are you seriously? 12 700?
- What was that all about?
- Is this some kind of joke?
- Anton Olegovich, did you yourself live on this generous minimum wage?
- And we have been living for the third week.
- And we do not just live, but work. For example, I translate metal structures.
- I follow the work of a large production site.
- I'm spilling sulfuric acid.
- I bend pipes 12 hours per shift.
And we live on your hellish consumer basket, where a kilogram of sugar and 200 grams of meat are given out for a month. Where there is flour without yeast.
We live on 150 rubles a day - that's two sausages in dough or two side dishes and two soups for the whole day!
And God forbid you to live on a minimum wage and suddenly get sick!
In our country, animals are treated even more humanely!
We wish you good health, excellent mood and live with us for at least one month on the minimum wage.
And not to use ministerial salaries, your cool dining room, a Mercedes - well, at least one month.
Anton Olegovich, we are just waiting for you, join us!"
The video also contains a call to sign a petition demanding to oblige all officials of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation to live on the minimum wage for at least one month.
