Before receiving a PCR test for coronavirus, Russians arriving in the country from abroad by plane are required to stay at home in isolation. The test must be done within one to three days of arrival.

This is stated in the decree of the chief sanitary doctor of Russia Anna Popova, which comes into force on September 24.

- Before receiving the results of laboratory tests on COVID-19 by PCR [Russians returning from abroad must] observe the isolation regime at the place of residence (stay)”, - the message says.

Also, employers are required to inform employees who travel abroad about the need to comply with the isolation regime.

In July, we recall that the Russian authorities canceled the mandatory 14-day isolation for those who enter the Russian Federation from abroad.

Note that tour operators have not received any instructions about the innovations.

- As always, everything became known "in time". Changes to the Resolution were made on the 18th, published on the 23rd, and will enter into force tomorrow, on September 24, - quotes RBC with a comment by the executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia Maya Lomidze.

We will remind that the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the authorities have no reason to return to the regime of self-isolation, which was introduced in the spring of 2020.

Let us recall that in Russia new rules of conduct have been introduced for citizens who are going to invite friends from abroad to visit. Now the inviting party is obliged to strictly monitor its guests.
