An increase in COVID-19 cases was recorded at the Vasilievsky gold mine in the Motyginsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Over the past weekend 56 people were diagnosed with coronavirus there.

Moreover, 40 cases of the infection occurred on Saturday.

- Most of the cases of infection in the Motyginsky region were detected at the Vasilyevsky mine among the shift workers. The necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures are now being carried out there, during which the last cases of infection were also detected, - the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor administration in the region told Interfax.

It should be noted that Vasilievsky Rudnik is one of the largest gold mining enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. About a thousand people work on a rotational basis at the mine.

Earlier, an outbreak of COVID-19 was noted in the Zhili-Byli nursing home in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Let us recall that a few days ago, the coronavirus broke out in the largest children's camp Siberian Fairy Tale in Kuzbass, as a result of which the shift had to be completed ahead of the schedule.
