A helicopter of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has landed on the territory of the Palace of Independence in Minsk. The head of the republic came out in a bulletproof vest and with a machine gun in his hands.

Lukashenko's helicopter flew around the protesters' gathering areas in the Belarusian capital.

The video was published by the "Pool of the First" telegram channel close to the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Together with Lukashenko a young man in military outfit leaves the helicopter as well. In his hands he also has a weapon. TASS reports that this is most likely the president's son Nikolay.

Lukashenko is met by armed guards, he asks them a question: "There is no one left there, right?"

Let us recall that the day before, protesters came to the residence of the head of state. They were blocked by riot police and special equipment. The protesters did not approach the security officials. They limited themselves to chanting the usual slogan "Go away!" After a while, most of the protesters left towards the city center. A helicopter flew over the protesters and landed on the territory of the residence.

At the same time, members of the Coordination Council addressed the protesters at the Planet Hotel. Maria Kolesnikova urged fellow citizens to continue the protests and called the resistance a "marathon".
