Chancellor Olaf Scholz said at a press conference in Meseberg that Berlin had received guarantees from Beijing that China "will not supply Russia with weapons during the conflict with Ukraine".

"President Vladimir Putin has never threatened me or Germany during telephone conversations," German Chancellor Olaf Schultz said, answering a question from a correspondent of the Bild am Sonntag newspaper.
