Emergency mode is introduced in Taimyr after jet fuel spill

- The fuel leak was 44 tons, it fell into a lake with an area of about 600 sq.m. Fuel spill is localized, there is no spread. In a stream connecting two lakes, three boom barriers are installed. Note that earlier it was only said that the fuel spilled onto the helipad and the territory adjacent to it.

Now the spill was localized. The pumping of fuel was stopped, the shutoff valves of the tank were shut off.

In total, eight boom barriers were installed at the scene. 1130 kg of sorbent were delivered to the accident site. Specialists treat the place where the stream flows into a small lake with a sorbent. There are two containers of 50 cubic meters and pumps with sleeves.

It is planned to treat the surface of a small lake with sorbent today. In addition, it is necessary to collect a water-dispersed emulsion in the area of boom installation and a sorbent for its disposal.

In total, 53 people and ten pieces of equipment are involved in the response to the spill.
