After a leak from the Okha-Komsomolsk-on-Amur pipeline, oil products got into Lake Goloye. The Investigative Committee has begun verification.

- The law-enforcement bodies received information that as a result of the depressurization of the pipeline located in Komsomolsk district, petroleum products got into the lake Goloye, - reported the IC of RF for the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region.

An investigation and operational group went to the leak site, which is located in a remote area of the region.

According to Interfax, the release of oily liquid (LF) occurred on an area of 0.04 ha. Currently, it has been liquidated and the pipeline has been shut down.

- All necessary measures have been taken for the operational localization of the housing estate. On-site specialized services of the enterprise are equipped with the necessary machinery and equipment. Work is underway to completely eliminate the traces of the exit of the housing estate. The company has established an operational headquarters. Constant environmental monitoring is ongoing, the representative of RN-Sakhalinmorneftegaz said.

Note that the main pipeline was built in 1974. The company intends to stop the transportation of raw materials along this route.

This is another incident involving a spill of petroleum products that occurred over several months. Recall that in Taimyr the emergency mode was introduced after 44 tons of jet fuel spilled due to the accident. The IC of the Russian Federation instituted a criminal case on the fact of the incident. The consequences of a major accident near Norilsk, at CHPP-3, where more than 21.1 thousand tons of oil flowed out on May 29, are still being eliminated.

In both cases, accidents occurred at the Norilsk Nickel facilities.
