The last trolleybus routes №№ m4, 28, 59, 60, 64, 72 from August 25 were transferred to buses and electric buses. Electric buses have been launched on route No. M4, buses have been launched on the remaining routes, named No. No. t28, t59, t60, t64, t72.
The general director of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans Leonid Antonov, quoted by the press service, said that, as a sign of respect for the trolleybus, the city administration decided to leave one trolleybus route in Moscow forever: from Komsomolskaya Square to Novoryazanskaya Street. The first trolleybus route was launched in Moscow at the end of 1935.
Earlier, deputies of the Moscow City Duma asked the mayor of Moscow "not to make a serious urban planning mistake" and not to give up trolley buses. A collective letter on the defense of Moscow's "business card" - the Moscow trolleybus - was signed by Moscow City Duma deputies Yevgeny Bunimovich, Maxim Kruglov, Sergey Mitrokhin, Mikhail Timonov, Yevgeny Stupin, Oleg Sheremetyev, Yelena Yanchuk and Daria Besedina. Also, the head of the Communist Party faction in the Moscow City State Duma N.G. Zubrilin has addressed the Minister of Transport Yevgeny Dietrich a request to "leave the trolleybus service for passengers in Moscow". Independent deputy Yelena Shuvalova and her colleagues from the city parliament are asking the relevant control authorities to investigate "the destruction of the trolleybus industry in Russia, especially in Moscow".
NI has already raised the question of the advisability of abandoning trolleybuses, since the Moscow authorities, judging by the plans for the state purchases, are going to replace them not with the electric buses, but with buses, moreover, with the diesel engines. Therefore, the question arises: what does the declared innovation and the struggle for a clean environment have to do with it?
