Fearing an outbreak of coronavirus diseases, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin recommended to the largest Moscow companies to switch their employees to the remote work again.

"The measure is aimed at limiting people from contacts as much as possible, and is aimed at the safety of citizens", - RIA Novosti quotes the words of the first deputy head of the press service of the capital's mayor Boris Bulay.

Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin sent letters to Sberbank, Yandex and Rostec with a request to return a number of employees to "remote work".

According to the data of the headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus, an increase in the number of people infected has been recorded in Moscow over the past week. Over the past day, 1,050 new cases were identified.

Earlier in the media reported on the plans of the Moscow authorities to reintroduce quarantine for elderly citizens.

It should be noted that at a meeting with the governors held the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin also drew attention to the need to take measures to protect the health of people of the older generation, "who are at risk of chronic diseases". But he urged to do everything "carefully, proceeding from the real situation in a particular territory", without taking the problem "into the background".
