Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that starting October 19, elementary school students will be returning from vacation, and high school students will switch to distance learning, which will last at least two weeks.

"Transport cards for students in grades 1-5 will be unlocked. Free travel for high school students will continue to be suspended", - said Sobyanin.

It is recommended to switch to the remote work format for non-governmental educational organizations. State circles and sections will stop working until November 1.

In some classes, tutoring will be introduced as a new teaching format. The Moscow Department of Education spoke about this at the beginning of the month. Teachers over 65 years of age or with a range of chronic diseases will be transferred to teleworking if possible. They will be able to be remote mentors for young teachers - graduates and senior students of pedagogical universities, who will be invited to Moscow schools to conduct face-to-face classes with children.

Earlier, the city authorities extended the holidays for schoolchildren until October 18.
