Almost every fifth participant in a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation (POF) said that they would support an increase in parental leave with the retention of a job and position from the current three-year period for a longer period.

The results of the study are cited by Interfax.

As arguments for increasing maternity leave, the respondents argued that a small child needs the care and attention of parents, about the difficulties with placing a child in a kindergarten, and also mentioned the frequent morbidity of young children.

At the same time, three quarters of the respondents - 74% - are sure that the current period of parental leave is quite enough. Moreover, 3% of respondents said it was necessary to reduce the pancake of this vacation. They believe that people need to work, and a three-year hiatus affects their qualifications negatively.

It is noted that 57% of survey participants point to significant difficulties women experience when leaving parental leave. On the contrary, 24% of respondents do not see any problems in this regard, and 19% could not answer the question of how difficult it is for a woman to return to work after a long break.

By the way, to go on maternity leave all men have become more frequent.
