The governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, promised to pay up to 500 thousand rubles to the victims of the explosion in a cafe, in which war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky died.

On March 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with members of the government, who presented their vision of a package of measures to ensure the "financial sovereignty" of the Russian Federation — one of the priority areas of work in 2023. This is reported by Kommersant.

The State Duma adopted a law on increasing to 2 million rubles the insurance payment in case of death of an employee at work. Thus, payments upon the occurrence of an insured event will double.

The Russian authorities have allocated 1 billion rubles to provide medical care to the population in new regions of the country.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the fund to support the families of the victims of the special operation and veterans will be subordinated to the government. In the future, the President expects that the work of this fund will be extended to other categories of citizens.

Russian President Vladimir Putin (pictured) has signed a law on social support for widows/widowers of combat veterans. The document provides for the provision of social support regardless of the composition of the family in which they live. Benefits will be provided until the conclusion of a new marriage.

The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The payment will amount to 1 million rubles.
