Families of people killed at work will get double insurance payments

According to RIA Novosti with reference to the data of the lower house of the Russian parliament, if an accident occurs at work, the families of the insured will be able to claim increased compensation payments.

"It is proposed to establish a one—time insurance payment in case of death of the insured as a result of the occurrence of an insured event in the amount of 2 million rubles", - is mentioned in the message.

It is noted that the reason for the payment of insurance may be the death of an employee as a result of an emergency or an occupational disease acquired at work.

Earlier it was reported that on the eve of the Federation Council approved the law on the appointment of insurance payments to military personnel.

The document clarifies that compensation is paid by the insurer within 30 days from the date of receipt of the documents necessary for making a decision on payment. If the court has not established the circumstances of intentional actions, the insurer is obliged to pay the sum insured within five days from the date of entry into force of the court decision, and if the insurer unreasonably delays the payment, it pays the beneficiary a penalty of 1% of the sum insured for each day of delay starting from the day following the day of expiry of the five-day period.
