Putin: the fund to support the participants of the SMO will be subordinated to the government

"It is the sacred duty of the state to take care of those who protect the country. I have already said that we will enter this fund into the state structure and subordinate it directly to the government", - the president said during a conversation with servicemen after laying flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier.

The President added that a separate social worker should be assigned to each family of military personnel in the country, who will work with them individually. "And then, as the next step, we will integrate it into work with all other categories of people", - the president added.

It's worth reminding that the Russian president announced the creation of the fund during his address to the Federal Assembly. The fund is created for targeted assistance to veterans of special operations and their families. The President instructed to "surround with care and attention" all participants of the special operation and their family members.
