“It is very dangerous when people do not believe in God, it is deadly. It is just as dangerous today if people do not believe in the spread of infection and do not protect themselves from this infection”, - the patriarch said during a sermon after the liturgy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, TASS reports. However, he called people who do not believe in disease and God, "stupid".
The patriarch explained that any human negligence during a pandemic can turn into an outbreak of the disease. In this regard, he urged believers to comply with epidemiological requirements, including when visiting temples. Patriarch Kirill also advised spending more time with family.
As a reminder, you can only get to the Christmas service in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior by invitation. According to TASS, there will be 350 parishioners in total - this is the capacity of the temple, in accordance with the established sanitary standards. Invitations could be obtained in the churches at the place of residence. They are free.
