According to the order of the Ministry of Labor, after the withdrawal, the funds will be sent to an account in the Pension Fund of Russia. Parents will be given six months to decide exactly where to send this money. At the same time, the deadline is not final - it can be extended by writing the corresponding statement to the FIU. However, this can only be done once.
If, three months after the six-month period, the parents do not send the funds, they will be automatically transferred to the funded part of the pension.
As a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Svetlana Bessarab said, many Russian women withdrew funds from the funded part of their pension, but after that they simply forgot about them. According to Parlamentskaya Gazeta, as of June 1, 2020, 55 million rubles of materkapital funds were allocated to the funded part of the pension.
It's worth reminding that earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin changed the rules for spending maternal capital on housing.
An unannounced procedure for issuing certificates for maternity capital in Russia was introduced against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic from April 15, 2020. After the birth of the child, the document automatically goes to the mother's personal account on the public services portal.
