As stated today, on June 24, the Dutch prosecutor Theis Berger, the Dutch prosecutor's office will not consider the American memorandum as evidence, which says about the presence of images from satellites, which supposedly captured the moment of the missile launch on the Malaysian Airlines liner (flight MH17)...

We are talking about the crash of a Boeing-777 passenger plane of Malaysia Airlines, which operated flight MH17 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). He was shot down in the skies over the Donetsk region of Ukraine on July 17, 2014, while there was active hostilities there. All 298 people on board were killed. At the moment, the case on the death of the airliner is being considered in the court of the Netherlands, today, on June 24, hearings were resumed.

“The US authorities have informed the investigating magistrate that satellite images are a state secret, and it is not possible to provide more information than what is already contained in the memorandum. In this regard, the prosecutor's office takes into account that no new information has been received. maybe that is why it will not use it (the memorandum) as evidence", - the Interfax news agency quoted Theis Berger as saying.

Earlier it became known that the memorandum received from the United States at a request sent back in 2014 contains only information about the availability of satellite images, which allegedly captured the launch of a rocket on the liner, a description of these images, but not the images themselves.

"The investigation into the causes of the death of the Malaysian Boeing-777 was conducted by a joint investigation team (JIT), which included law enforcement officers from Ukraine, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and Malaysia, the results of its work were transferred to a Dutch court. However, it should be noted that both the investigation and the court are moving very slowly - almost seven years have passed since the disaster. The District Court of The Hague will not be able to deliver a verdict in the crash until the end of this year", - said Judge Maria Knife.

In September 2016, the investigation published conclusions according to which the liner was shot down by a missile launched from a Buk anti-aircraft missile system, and then announced the alleged belonging of this Buk to the Russian 53rd anti-aircraft missile brigade stationed in Kursk. According to investigators, this installation was transferred to the Donbass militias who fought with the Ukrainian troops.

On May 19, 2019, the JIT officially named four people accused of involvement in the death of flight MH17: Russians Igor Girkin (Strelkov), Sergey Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko. None of them came to court, but Oleg Pulatov sent his lawyers to the Netherlands. Russia officially rejects all allegations of its involvement in the crash of the Malaysian airliner.
